Convert images to PDF

Switch to Images → PDF, add your JPG or PNG files, drag them into the order you want, and press Create PDF. Each image becomes one page sized to match the image. This is perfect for turning scanned receipts, photos of documents, or screenshots into a single PDF you can email or archive.

Merge PDF files

Switch to Merge PDFs and add two or more PDFs. Reorder them with the arrows, then press Merge into one PDF to combine every page into a single downloadable document. Because everything happens locally in your browser, even confidential contracts and statements stay private.

Why PDF page size matters

A PDF has a fixed page size, so an image has to be fitted into it. Getting this wrong is why converted images sometimes print at the wrong scale or sit oddly on the page.

A4 and Letter are close but not identical, which is why an A4 document printed in the United States can lose a few millimetres at the edge. If a document will be printed rather than only read on screen, match the page size to the destination.

Resolution and print quality

A PDF stores the image at whatever resolution you supply, so print sharpness depends entirely on the source. The rule of thumb is 300 DPI for print and 150 DPI for on-screen reading.

A phone photo is typically 3000 pixels or more on the long edge, so it is comfortably enough for a full-page A4 print. A screenshot at 1280 pixels wide is not, and will look soft when printed at full page size.

Merging, page order and file size

When merging, documents are combined in the order you add them, and page order within each document is preserved. Rename your files with a numeric prefix if ordering matters — 01-cover.pdf, 02-report.pdf — since that makes the sequence obvious and repeatable.

Merged file size is roughly the sum of the inputs. PDFs built from photographs are dominated by image data, so if the result is too large to email, compress the images before converting rather than trying to shrink the finished PDF.

Everything happens on your device

Both conversion and merging run entirely in your browser. Files are never uploaded, which matters for PDFs specifically because they so often hold exactly the material you should not be posting to an unknown server — signed contracts, invoices, passports, medical letters and bank statements. You can verify this by disconnecting from the network: the tool keeps working.

Are my PDFs or images uploaded?

No. All processing runs locally in your browser using the pdf-lib library. Your files never touch a server, so it is safe for confidential documents.

Which image formats can I convert to PDF?

JPG and PNG are supported. If you have other formats, run them through the Image Compressor first to export as JPG.

Is there a limit to how many files I can merge?

There is no fixed limit. Very large documents are constrained only by your device's available memory.

Will merging reduce quality?

No. Merging copies the original pages exactly, so text stays sharp and selectable and images are unchanged.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. Both conversion and merging happen entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your documents never leave your device, which makes this safe for contracts, invoices and identity documents.

Is there a limit on file size or page count?

There is no imposed limit — the practical ceiling is your device memory. Very large merges of hundreds of megabytes may be slow on older phones.

Will converting reduce my image quality?

No. The image is embedded at its original resolution. Print sharpness depends on the source image, so aim for 300 DPI at final print size.

Can I reorder pages before merging?

Files are merged in the order you add them. Rename with a numeric prefix such as 01-, 02- to control the sequence reliably.

Does the PDF have a watermark?

No. There is no watermark, no signup and no page limit.

Can I convert a PDF back into images?

Not with this tool — it handles image to PDF and PDF merging. PDF to image requires a different rendering engine.
